Rumble Studio Live Read Campaign Guidelines and Instructions

Getting Started

Canvas Room

Monetizing your live stream on Rumble Studio Canvas is easy, no preparation is required before you go live. You can check which ad campaigns will be available on the Campaigns page.

Direct RTMP Room (Requires Banner Setup)

For Rumble Studio Direct RTMP streams, some preparation is required before you go live:

  • You must embed the ad banner widget (with QR code and advertiser info) into your stream as a browser overlay in your streaming software

  • Without this banner visible full-screen during your read, your campaign will be rejected

Live Deliverables -- Approval Requirements

Your read will be accepted only if:

  1. Canvas: Meets script, timing, and delivery rules

  2. Direct RTMP: All Canvas requirements plus overlay/QR code widget is embedded, stretched to screen and fully visible during the read

  3. All stream types:

    • Minimum 30 seconds in length (overlay showing if script is short)

    • Script is read fully, covering all key points, clear with no background noise

    • Host is on camera performing the read

    • At least 20 minutes of total content per read

    • No negative or off-brand remarks before, during, or immediately after the read

For You Campaigns

Some campaigns in the Campaigns page will be labeled as "For You."

These are:

  • Specifically targeted to your channel and audience

  • Designed to match your content style or viewer profile

  • Paid out at a flat rate or per live viewer when you read them live and meet deliverable requirements

Tip: Prioritize these if available --- they are tailored for your channel and provide consistent earnings when approved.

Pre-Recorded Read Uploads (Coming Soon)

Creators can prepare higher-quality ad reads in advance by pre-recording them and uploading directly to the campaign before going live.

How it works:

  1. Go to the Campaigns page in Rumble Studio

  2. Select a campaign and review the script

  3. Record your ad read in advance --- this allows for optimal lighting, sound, and delivery without the pressure of live timing

  4. Upload your pre-recorded read to the campaign on the campaigns page

  5. When you go live and start that campaign, your pre-recorded ad read will automatically play to your audience

    • Campaigns that have a video attached will be indicated

    • Remember to select "control audio via OBS" in the browser source to ensure the audio plays for Direct RTMP

    • You can delete the video on the campaigns page by clicking on the trashcan icon

Benefits:

  • More polished presentation and delivery

  • Fewer live performance risks (mistakes, distractions, technical issues)

  • Ability to add production elements (graphics, cuts, sound) for higher impact

Note: Make sure that you are able to reach minimum viewership requirements for these reads.

Adding the Ad Banner Widget (Direct RTMP)

Using OBS as an example:

  1. Copy the Banner Widget URL

    • Click the "Banner" icon in the Ad Campaigns module

    • Click the square icon to copy the URL

  2. Add a Browser Source

    • Add a "Browser" source to any scene where you'll do the read (must be a browser source, not screen capture)
  3. Paste the URL

    • Paste the copied URL

    • Set height and width to match your canvas at 16:9 ratio (e.g. 2560×1440)

    • To use pre-recorded videos for reads, select "control audio via OBS"

  4. Enable audio

    • Check the box for "Control audio via OBS" for pre-recorded video reads
  5. Test the Banner

    • In Studio, click "Add Test Campaign" to preview

    • Remove the test banner before going live

Important:

  • The browser overlay must be at the top of your source list so it's always visible

  • It must be added to every scene you plan to use during the read

  • If the QR code and advertiser info is not visible on-screen during the read, and properly sized to fit the screen it will be rejected

Best Practices for a Live Host Read

  • Be prepared -- Review all available scripts and (if Direct RTMP) test your banner before going live

  • Engage your audience -- Make it conversational, address viewers directly, and keep your energy consistent

  • Integrate the banner -- reference the QR code or on-screen link during your pitch

  • Be authentic -- Share quick, relevant personal stories related to the product/service

  • Highlight the call to action -- Repeat mid-read and at the end

  • Match brand tone -- Keep your delivery in line with the advertiser's style

  • Choose peak moments -- Perform reads when your concurrent viewer count is highest

  • Mind your setup -- Maintain clear lighting, framing, and audio for a professional impression

  • Emails - Keep an eye out for Studio emails as they can contain approval/rejection notices, feedback and new "For You" campaigns

While Streaming

When streaming, open the Campaigns menu on the right side of the Studio interface

  • Campaigns have a minimum live viewership requirement

    • This minimum viewership limit is for Rumble only (not other destinations such as YouTube)
  • If you meet or exceed it, you can interact with the campaign

  • To advertise a campaign, click "Accept & Start"

  • Select which side of screen to display the ad banner with QR code (left or right)

Performing the Advertisement

  • The ad script will display in large font on the right side

  • Deliver the read (with banner enabled if Direct RTMP) or play your pre-recorded version if you uploaded one

  • Press "Complete" when finished

  • Each campaign can only be completed once per live stream

Getting Paid

  • Reads are automatically sent for review (~24 hours)

  • Approved reads deposit funds into your Rumble.com balance

  • Rejected reads include feedback for improvement

  • See the history tab on the Campaigns page for status of each read
